It’s nice to meet you
My passion is music! I have known since I was a young musician that I wanted to persue a career in music teaching and performing. Now, I have over sixteen years of performance experience and eight years of teaching experience and I am excited to be continuing my love and passion for music with my community.
Currently, I am the Adjunct Flute Professor at the University of Minnesota, Morris and the College of Saint Bennedict and have a private studio in Saint Paul, MN. I hold a Master’s Degree in Music Performance from the University of Minnesota Twin-Cities and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from Michigan State University. My experience lies in teaching comprehensive music lessons, particularly in the flute, to all ages and skill levels. As an advocate for fine arts education, I come with an understanding of the tremendous value that music brings to the lives of all people. From beginning fundamentals to more advanced repertoire, I possess a keen ability to mentor students, encouraging them to live into their musical goals and aspirations while cultivating an environment that is enjoyable and engaging.
Along with my private and volunteer teaching experience, I have also played an active role in LadyBand, the University of Minnesota and Michigan State University’s student ensembles; Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Musique 21 Contemporary Music Chamber Ensemble, Chamber Music Wind Ensemble, Opera Theater and Symphony Band.
